Mathemathics of goodbyes

20:35

There are so many words which you want to say to a friend who is leaving. They usually  come to me when someone is already gone. So you usually stand there like a jerk, saying nothing or, for worse, say some stupid clichés which sound incredibly corny if you think about them later.

I am no exception - I fail miserably with every goodbye I have to make. I hate them as many other people. I sometimes leave without saying it, not because I'm trying to be rude. The reason is, how am I supposed to even try to express how great was the time spent together and sum it up in this last moment? Words are useless at those times, as simple as that. Also, I'm pretty shy and sometimes I feel uncomfortable saying all these things. Or maybe I should more likely say "thanks for your time" instead of "goodbye"?

This time I want definitely so say so. Thanks a million, bajillion and whatever big number there is. Thank you.
